This line means, making mistaken beliefs off of temporary feelings. Palace dancing could refer to club hopping, or just going to a club in general, for that temporary happiness.
One of the deeper lines on the track. It references addiction, masking pain by doing drugs/drinking, and what reactions you have when your addiction isn’t fed.
This could be a reference to the greek god of wine and ecstasy, Dionysus. A “Savior” is a name often given to a god.
