He calls to invite us, sits down right beside us

“All God’s children” he’ll say “are wheat

In the thicket, righteous among wicked

And gathered on harvest day”

His apt congregation from chalkboard invitation:

“all drifters welcome ashore!”

The fruit of my seed has been declared a weed

And I am invited no more

Aren’t we delighted tp be the uninvited?!

Expelled to the church of the truth

His prison of preaching the primer he’s been teaching

He would be uninvited he should be uninvited too

Aren’t we delighted – we, the uninvited!

Love, unconditional, true

The righteous, the honest – come lay your sins

Upon us and you’ll be uninvited, too
