Apathetic Stars

She wears it’s alright that you’re always on the go

Me, I can see you’re tired of letting her down, dragging her feelings in ton

So you’re getting on a bus. I know you feel you must; love is much easier to say than show

And you’re always had your doubts on taking the easy way out – so there you got to let her know

Those stars in the sky, if we weren’t here they’d shine

We blacken the sky with our incandescent moan

To see – so everyone gets by; adrift in the crow – a billion stars each on their own

So I’m getting on a plane , when the ground + sky the same

The sight was much easier to take when I had someone to hold

We’ve always had or doubts on taking the easy way out, so once we know

Those stars in the sky, if we weren’t here they’d shine

And they wouldn’t miss us, so how important could we be?

All things with life must die, but love’s more than alive –

Guess you found a way to outlast apathy

When all those stars urn out we’ll still be about

And traveling through the heavens you will find

Like stars in the sky because you’re here I will shine
