[Verse]

Back in the day when the king had is way

He hunted wild game and ate his dead prey

Feast after feast obsessed with fresh meat

King Henry The Eighth was clinically obese

He was rather curvy in his latter pursuits

He died of scurvy from a lack of fruits

And vegetables at age Fifty-Five

The wealthiest man in the British Isles

[Verse]

Deep in the desert live the Maasai tribe

Drink blood from the neck while the cattle's still alive

Drink milk from the mother cow fed to the sick

Eat raw flesh to repress hunger pains quick

For survival so we cannot call it naughty

On this diet Maasai lucky if they live to forty

We stand on the shoulders of these ancient tribes

And that diet has evolved to expand our lives

[Verse]

Up in the igloos living on ice

Where tribes of Inuits be rolling the dice

On the worst conditions it's not superstitious

When the only thing to eat are gigantic fishes, hey!

Because there's no snow-carrots

No iceberg lettuce, no frozen peppers

Living in the skin of the meal you hunted

An Eskimo's life is severely stunted, c'mon!

[Chorus]

But you can grow abundance in your garden

Grow abundance in your garden

Grow abundance in your garden

Live among animals but just don't harm them

And sing ahimsa for all beings

Sing ahimsa for all beings

Sing ahimsa for all beings

'Cause non-violence is what it means, yeah!

[Verse]

In the twenty-first century heart disease

Is the number one killer of our species

Caused by clogged arteries

From eating meat, milk, butter, eggs, and cheese

The only way clinically proven to reverse this

Is a diet of whole food plant-based surplus

Preferably local, preferably veganic to preserve our planet

[Verse]

We all sense that it feels safer when you

Know human babies are off the menu

Homo sapiens have progressed

From a cannibal past to civil animals dressed

But the occasion is called silver service

Which sentient being doesn't deserve this

Right to life, right to choose

Right to be living in your shoes

[Verse]

Non violence to animals happens to be

One of the oldest ethical philosophies

That pre-dates written text and religion

Take a look at Pythagoras' kitchen

Take a look at Jainists and Hinduism

Happened centuries before veganism

Female wisdom was burnt at the stake

We've come a long way

Time to look at our plate and say hey!

This is not ok

[Chorus]

When you can grow abundance in your garden

Grow abundance in your garden

Grow abundance in your garden

Live among animals but just don't harm them

And sing ahimsa for all beings

Sing ahimsa for all beings

Sing ahimsa for all beings

'Cause non-violence is what it means

[Outro]

Sing ahimsa

Ahimsa

Ahimsa

Sing ahimsa

Ahimsa

Ahimsa

'Cause non-violence is what it means

Non-violence is what it means
