Blood shed and violence, struggle and lies

We have excess water whilst others struggling by

They struggling to survive with new bacteria they find

And we're caught up in little problems that cause bacteria in our mind

You see they're economically poor but spiritually rich

We're the flip side opposite and we're stuck in a mist

We have internet trolls, terrorists and racists

They have happy souls with hope struggling for the basics

We waste food while new borns barely live for a week

We give money twice a year, raise awareness and speak

A shoe box once a year which they receive for christmas

Yet we get angry if we don't have all that was put on our wish list

And this is the destruction we've been warned about for years

We've watched this all develop, over time dried our tears

And these are the countries the others look too for prayers

We just give them fake smiles, empty love and our spares, hey

Even on our own streets we have people who are dying

Children in the cold, scared alone and they're crying

People buying chemicals to fix the holes in their souls

Whilst the other side of the world ain't got nowhere else to go

Our mindset is selfish narcissistic and evil

We protect the number one and step all over the people

This new world following the old world structure

We have leaders and followers but that function's corrupt, uh

Are we ever gonna learn not to kill our own people?

Surely by now we understand that war is unbelievably see through

We fight, kill and die and nothing's achieved

And victory doesn't taste as sweet as everyone believes

When millions have died for little to no outcome

Couldn't we just settle our differences without one?

But i'm just a kid probably to young to understand

It's the violence and the war which turns you into a man huh?

Instead of just asking for peace like the past leaders have

C'mon let's blame the youth, cause you can't face the truth

That you raised the youth you persecute and there's your roots

C'mon open your eyes and remove your disguise

The saddest thing is what we're witnessing is no surprise

Nations built on greed, human race deceived

The wealth we work so hard for makes it hard to see

That the money that we're making's killing hundreds of trees

So we class success as earning paper, making it hard to breathe

And if starvation comes and you don't have food upon your plate

Savour the flavour let me know how money tastes

We've watched, we waited well look it's finally here

That beautiful world we once knew has disappeared

Gone in a flash, still we haven't woken, still our minds aren't clear
