This story never had an ending

It keeps progressing every day

So maybe there will be a sequel

Who really knows, it’s hard to say

I have no words left to sing, I brought you all I could bring

So please stop staring at me like I’m some unnameable thing

I hope you never forget, the way the stage has been set

And the work I had to do to hope your standards are met

The curtain closes with ease, and I can finally breathe

So I take a couple seconds to get off of my knees

A weight was lifted today, I have no reason to pray

Even if God is listening, I don’t have much to say

The lights on stage start to fade, as the rest of them raise

Similar to the way that my life is going these days

I welcomed you into my life, with all the laughter and strife

And when you stabbed me in the back, I simply stared at the knife

I hold no grudge anymore, those feelings went out the door

Since I was making some money, but made my soul became poor

I have no story to tell, there’s no more ink in my well

Or any words to appreciate all the things that I’ve felt

I was asked for a show, and so I wrote up this story

But I’m lacking minor details and my memories blurry

So let me finish my story so I can finally sleep

Because if life is an ocean, I drowned way out in the deep

This mountains getting too steep, and I’m weak from the climb

But in looking for perfection, I found out I was blind

I want to thank you for coming, hope you enjoyed your stay

Since I put all of my effort into making this play

The curtain is closing, so I bid you adieu

As the actors take a bow, you can leave if you choose

I’ll let you be the judge of if I win or I lose

So I can try to be excited when you give me the news
