Sad Boy

[Verse 1: Mikalott]

Not too long ago I spent every weekend out

Surrounded by a crowd I never thought I'd be without

The coolest peeps around, they not afraid of speaking out

But as years pass us by, nobody's even reaching out

The ones I would ride for, wherever whenever

Ain't even hittin up the homie so they can show me their endeavors

I'm just a fallen winner, who's now seeing the reasons

Behind that age old phrase "people are seasons"

Haven't heard from my old girl, but I'm sure she's doin well

We broke up ages ago, and I'm still going through hell

At least that's that what it feels like;

I'm blowing bills at the bar drinking hard liquor til it feels right

And all those things, are just the cherry on top

Im very stressed, tryna impress and perfect various drops

Them one night stands don't fill the void like I expected

I need something more... I feel disconnected

{Verse 2: Mikalott]

There are some days that I arise completely devoid of drive

But as I open up my eyes I thank the lord I'm still alive

Cause I know I could've died at the ripe age of 2

Here I am at 23, you see I got things to do

When I started first rapping I was lacking in skill

But with time I adapted because the passion was real

I forged a path with this craft, foregoing massive appeal

And it all happened so fast, that it really feels so surreal

And G already touched on a perfectionist's mind

So yes, I'm guilty of scrapping a less than excellent rhyme

The best relief from my stress, I guess it must be a sign

I'm tryna write some songs withstanding the testing of time

And every day I'm plagued by a voice in my head

Just listen close and I'll tell you exactly what it says

"You ain't afraid to fail boy, give it a rest

Pull the trigger, do your best, quit being afraid of success"
