I walk with beloved friends

A realization to constrain

Breathing life to find a new way

Endeavoring to sustain

Remain here in this moment

Before inertia overtakes us

And we no longer have the chance

To see each other again

I sometimes stop and cry

For I know what must come

Weather peaceful in my sleep

Or under a wave miles deep

Beware of this so called firmament

Thus with kindred spirits grieve

Gatherеd here under thе sun

We never thought we'd earn the merit

Our arrogance had just begun

I will fight to keep our home

And did we ask to be made

Embodied in your image

Why must the terror always reign

Why can't we control our fears

Or do we make believe

An instinctual memory

Where it takes so long to conceive

I sometimes stop and cry

For I know what must come

Weather peaceful in my sleep

Or under a wave miles deep

Beware of this so called firmament

The earth is where we call our home

We've never strayed to o far and wide

The only warmth we've ever known

And known we could have tried
