How many daggers have I planted

In the backs of my friends?

Now it's time to reap the crops that I've sown

In this bloody harvest

Crimson banners with the royal seal

Line the hall to the throne room

The choirs sing words of praise

The nobles make endless toasts

A decade laid in wait for this day

My coronation

One final time I kneel to another

The crown has finally found it's rightful home

Luxuries, extravagance, all at my call

It's good to be king

Pleasures of the flesh, excessive and decadent

Is this what true power is?

One by one

The procession of ministers

Arrive at my door

Beg for my ear, Plea for my favor

Implore me to consider your "urgent needs"

Incompetent fools

Am I not a king?

Burden me not with these peasant affairs

I awake to the cry of the war horn

Sounding out in the dead of night

Why do these barbarians at the gate raise the banner of our realm?
