Winter's coming around

It’s the beginning of summer now

Makes me wanna wonder how

Less than 365 suns took me from where I was to now

As last summer came to a close

I thought that it was game over

Little did I know i’d find what i was looking for

As soon as I had given up the ways of a soldier

It was the middle of winter then

Wishing I could just win her when

The wisher who was singing bout an infinite pacific

Has found that one fish and picked to stay with it

And as we begged for the warm air

She never knew the story of the storm therе

Funny how I never wanted it but now I’m proud

To havе the summer solstice come early this year

And all this time

I wondered why

She could never find that one guy

And if I

Would never hide by the trials of the tide

She would find me in a little less time

I used to walk these dunes

And look at the sky to talk to you

Looking for that one shining star to reflect my message off to you

And I knew you that knew me

You just never knew which dude was the true me

And I’m to blame

For not realizing I was made this way

For a purpose

And I heard this

The moment the waves had scratched the surface

I knew that I hurt you

Believing in me just wasn’t my virtue

But the planet turned on it axis

It did backflips for me

Now I have to practice

How to relax and tell our future family bout our story

And all this time

I wondered why

She could never find that one guy

And if I

Would never hide by the trials of the tide

She would find me in a little less time

The sun used to set itself alone but since the weather

Got better it now lets us watch it set itself together

As it holds the horizon, rewinding to December

Just close both your eyes, and I want you to remember

All the firsts that we shared, your purse and your hair

And how you were the one person to reverse what had scared

Me from ever loving someone, now let’s watch the sun set to

The time I came alive, when I first met you

I literally used to sit in my pity

And wondered if this was my own fault

Or if it was happening this way for a reason

I had questions, and the best of me was tested

As the water had tread my knees and

I felt this breeze that made me feel as though I wasn’t quite alone

Have you ever visited a vicinity like a city, or in this case the beach

Where at some point in your life this location

Had meant something much different to you?

And its incredible looking back

That you never thought of being there and feeling any different

Than the way you did then… or maybe that’s just me...
