I could make you feel good or inspire you to dream

One of these influences can make a man succeed

But the other turns a man to a steed

We heed to the crooks that they use to cull the sheep

I remember sitting in school

The path of least resistance puts our thinkers on the battleground

It’s a test of having freedom versus being slaves

The battle of reality versus the dreamscape

Hot versus cold and I’m trying to escape

They want to scream REVOLUTION! without a sound plan

That’s a lot of cacophony from a really loud clan

But I can’t

So I focus on promoting the values I love

In the hopes of inviting some friends from the foes

But you waste time vandalizing all that you loathe

And you turn those friends into foes you oppose

That interests the public

A politician's not your fiancée

And unless you want the government to subsidize a substance in your blood stream like some homeopathy

Delegate yourself to run the opposite of harm’s way

I'm an involuntary cog in the machine

The canary in the coalmine is topping the regime

They want you to look diversified but all think the same

I want you to live without these intellectual chains

So maybe take a step back on the line of defense

Let me pose the dichotomy of lying on the fence

They say open up your mind so they can sneak inside your heads

I say open up your eyes so you can see all of these threats!

I know the value of intelligence

I say this knowing 100% that I am irrelevant

And anything I’ve ever said is forever in question

That’s the blessing of a perfect truth beyond human conception

What ain't true in its essence

We make do in the present

Or all future endeavors are on you to amend it

One congruent in message

We speak fluent in sentiment

Hating who ever questions it

It gives evil a prenup, when beholden to others

Dependence that you’d be ashamed to show to your mother

So don’t confuse your motives with emotional blunders
