Concave Heart

I’m living on the meridian

Washing out my memories and maybe we will meet again

When you reach the water’s edge

And you want to build a bridge

Anything resembling a lending hand will be your friend

Maybe there is nobody maybe there’s a myriad

Some will give a comma when you’re speechless but some will give a period

If you cross the river bend living in the fear of it

You might break the bridge from the weight of the experience

When you’re floating in the galaxy

You have a home within my fantasies

You carved a concave heart right out of me

Like a cavity

Did I etch your memory

With that simple sweet serenity

That you left in me?

You carved a concave heart right out of me

Like a cavity

Your omega was my alpha

Now my body feeds off of breathing in nostalgia

Grew with your beautiful scars and my cells healed around ya

Without ya, I’m diagnosed with fibromyalgia

My power is low but I’m bursting at the seams

With a passion for the past and I won’t let it leave

I just keep on repeating all my history in reveries

And I never make new memories

When you’re floating in the galaxy

You have a home within my fantasies

You carved a concave heart right out of me

Like a cavity

Did I etch your memory

With that simple sweet serenity

That you left in me?

You carved a concave heart right out of me

Like a cavity

It’s a natural phenomenon

Getting older, it’s obvious memories getting foggier

Wanting to keep a part of ya

Bartering with the devil in trying to become a god is just

Lying, paint a picture of something that you ought to not ever become

And now with every odd breath, you got a knot in your chest

And every time you see a mirror it’s like part of the test

Getting conned, vexed, by a complex that’s convex

So look for your reflection in a figure not so easily cracked
