I was in the back seat

You were in the front seat

You turned around to talk to me

I saw your sharp teeth

We looked out the window

There was a traffic light shine

It looked so beautiful

Against the night sky

They went through a red light

There was no cop to see but we still feel like we did something wrong

Nervous that we don't belong

Refractions of a street light shine through the window and cover your face with glowing patterns of light

Though I can't help but look outside

To see

Us!

Sitting on the garage floor

We said we'd work on music

It's been a couple of hours

And wе haven't done anything

We dеcide that we wanna do something else

We go to a park to walk around

We'll find a nice place to sit down

But you'll get distracted when you see

A girl is walking through the park

With a childlike smile that warms your heart and

Her dirty blonde hair shines in the sunlight

It takes you by surprise

And you can't help but get lost in her eyes

I thought we were having a good time

And I thought that we could see all these pine trees singing

I thought that maybe you enjoyed my company

Cause I thought that we were having a good time

I thought so

I thought so

I thought so

I thought so

It started raining and I had to walk all the way home

But the rain was not the thing that bothered me most because

I thought you loved me

I spoke too quickly

No one could love me

I do not love me

And

It's better to stay at home as opposed to getting your heart broken by

Someone you weren't sure about

If they shared the feelings you held for them if they were scared of being left behind you'd say

You'd say

You won't ever leave them

You won't ever leave them

You won't ever leave them

You won't ever leave them
