All of my life

I been trying to get it right

I keep gripping on this mic

I ask the Lord to take my soul into the night

Looking within man I been struggling with an addiction

I can't get up and I been stuck inside of this affliction

Pain I'm feeling I think that I'm in a bad condition

I hear myself saying to stop, I never listen

Will I ever forgive myself for all these bad decisions?

Even if I did will God given me his blessed permission

Let me into his kingdom I've lived in opposition

Will you hear my submission preaching with my own conviction

What happened to my ambition that I had when I was a kid

I lost my mission, I'm in a prison I’m hearing the record skip

Incarcerated by these bars that I put into words

Contemplating conformity so my musics heard

People tell me they feel what I say, even if it burns

Not a negative person don't ever misinter-pret the messages that I convey

If I did it I swear that it wasn't on purpose I’m giving you everything that I have got

Spitting the truth in all of my verses

[Lucidious: Verse 2]

Lot of people say to be honest when I write my music

But honestly my honesty would come off too intrusive

How can I rap about this shit in a club on a Friday night

Exchange my thoughts for getting money and them bitches hyped

I care about my family, I care about my image

I care that one day my grandchildren will hear all my lyrics

One day I'll be a father

One day I'll make mine proud

One day I’ll be watching over my family in the clouds

When I made changes and reflections I was stressing and damn

Still looking in the mirror trying to find who I am

Man I ran away from home, I left my girl alone

I took a shot in the dark and I left my comfort zone

I'm pretty proud of that no one can take it from me

To those who stayed by my side you'll be here for all the glory

Protect those that I love and I carry y’all in my heart

I know that y'all will be there even if I fall apart [x2]

[Lucidious: Verse 3]

Man I graduated college

And I began to acknowledge

There’s a lot more to life then being socially polished

Find people that you love hold em close and never let go

Take a chance in your life or you're never gonna grow

Say what's real when you’re talking about what you really feel

No point in hiding behind insecurities you fear

Look at me I took a leap of faith displaying my flaws

Even though I know everyone I know is gonna hear this song

Man I used to kick back with Eminem on

I would listen in awe drift away with headphones on

Dream of the lights the stage and the action

I am thankful to all of my role models who gave me this passion that I was lacking

Live like you’ll die today, dream like you'll live forever

A quote that I follow I learned from my desperate measures

But I keep on pushing I see the sun through the stormy weather

I bow my head and pray knowing one day it will get better [x2]

Will get better
