Woke up in a morgue, some said cuz he sold his ink to the devil

His soul to the dead, his vision to God, his tongue to the snakes

His heart was divided in strips like a steak

The sky made it rain like Wayne in a club

The pearly gates opened and he got the snub

He had so much love but they weren't impressed

He wore an old t-shirt, he wasn't well dressed

He had no connects to a rabbi or pope

He kind of knew Buddha but that guy is on dope

He's used to rejection, its not like today

He heard the gates close so he just walked away

Into the great wide open he followed the light

His memory gone, only one light of sight

And there he was again, a shape burst out of the clouds

Smelling like wild raspberries boiled in blood

Infinite formulas that a man could not solve

Out of his orbitals, they beamed with a glow

The music came flowing from angelic throats

And DNA molecules lived from these notes

Back to the cycle, clean slate, blank palate

Clay tablet whirling sonic til it turned anatomic

On to the zodiac his dreams were firmly inscribed with a brand new appetite

Every taste felt exotic

Was he punished or saved when he had to return, denied initially

To the place where he'd wish he be, but came back all the same differently

Feel me

Back to the living and God gave him back his vision

Snakes made him a new tongue twice as vivid

His heart resumed beating, and the devil returned his ink

"See you again my son" he said grinning
