But wanting to be You, we made a decision

Gave up our innocence to satisfy the cravings within us

And went from walking in the spirit to walking in the flesh

Kicked out the garden rejecting you and choosing death

Now we downplay our sin, like it’s not destructive

The result is walking an earth, evil and corrupted

Everyone aiming for glory, fighting for fame

Give it a few decades, no one remembers their name

We still enslaved, though You've proclaimed us forgiven and free! oh how far!

We turn down Your plans for us and settle for less

Cus they’re watering down Your truth, so it won't be offensive
