Somewhere along
The lined street, cold as city blocks
Whole continents
Were abandoned to the drift
So we walk over tree leaves
Dead leaves and broken glass
Endive and precious memories
Seem more like documentaries
Of someone else's life
Lingered in books and new CDs
My focused house become debris
And in place of the moon's dog
A satellite instigates a global flood
I failed as it washes through me
Flushing out all history
