Verse

I’ve been labeled an outcast, but unlike Big Boi and Andre

People don’t think I’m fresh and clean, they disliked me like dirty laundry

A nerdy kid, awkward and could barely sit

In class ‘cause bullies made me feel smaller than a cherry pit

This light skin was confused for white skin

I spoke proper English and rock is something I delight in

A’s on my report card made me look intelligent

I willingly tuck in my shirt represent that I’m different

Introverted misfit, not one to be social

Looked at popular kids and I thought they were so cool

But I saw the direction they were headin’ in

So to be separate, I decided to care a bit more about my intelligence

I quit making excuses to start reading the Bible

There ain’t a lot of folk preaching the word, but this guy will

Even if I’m a reject and people sleep on my music like a NyQuil

I will counter the culture that is deceiving to every child

I’ma be a Christian ‘til I d.i.e

Knowledge of the true God is declining

We neglect His word for something misguiding

This is what I see. Treating God trifling

I pray for everybody who disagrees

God is real, he is no myth to me

In case you didn’t know, my name is L. Marquee

You think you can stop me now? What the heck y'all think

Outro

This is me

This is me being who God called me to be

I’m just a quiet kid who loves God who has been called to spread the LORD’s light to the world

That’s why my name is L. Marquee

I’m spreading the LORD’s light

Welcome the first chapter of my life: Introvert
