Around this time, it seems to be an automatic motion

Most tend to resort to their preconceived notions

Wait, you're a rapper? You must be a delinquent

Who talks about drugs, money, emcees you have beef with

I know, it’s easy to be confused

But don’t judge a book by it’s cover, man, read some reviews

Choose to ask people if my nature fits this genre of music

You’ll receive a unanimous back and forth head movement

I view rap as a method to relieve personal mental tension (and)

If I believe what's on my mind is worth mentioning

I pick up the pad and the pen and I write, spit those words right into the mic

Possibly pass on a bit of advice that I’ve received from hindsight

I don't do this only for personal satisfaction

I do this to connect with you through this contraption (called music)

A few things have been holding me back

I’ve never been satisfied with my voice when I rap on tracks

I view myself as too much of a perfectionist

When regarding imparting rhythmical messages

This music has taken up so much of my time

Producing instrumentals, rehearsing scribbled lines of rhymes

I’ve dug myself so deep into a negativity pit

That I’ve wanted to straight up give in and quit

Then came the point I decided to push past my doubt

Overcome my difficulties, take an alternate route

I know my pace is comparable to a crawl

But a little bit of movement is better than no movement at all

Concerning the music that you currently hear

I plan to improve with every new song
