(Make your bed, regret your life)

V1

Under my dispositions

Caught in late decisions

Over all my wisdom

Cut from the knots I've tied

Counting all the lies I've lied

Up against all the times I've tried

I never was convinced that I'd lose everything for naught

PRECH

Fighting cynical, teetering on principle

I'll never know if I was wrong

CH

Smoke in the sunlight

My eyes are closed, but my

Arms are open wide

Finally learned to take it all in stride

Growing out of this will come with time

V2

Stuck staring at the ceiling

The ground around me is changing

Spiral out of a feeling

And I can't stand that I'm aging

Grinding my teeth

Tearing holes in my sheets

Waking up from respite

Digging deep for your keep

I came here stalwart

Trigger-finger diagnosis

A little taller, a little closer

To hopeless

I feel so hopeless

I just can't focus

One day I'll shake this

CH2

White-knuckle the time

Spill a pint of blood with words and rhymes

Watching all my guilt fade in real time

I should've known my gut was always right

OUTRO

Smoke in the sunlight

Arms are open wide

Take it all in stride

This will come with time

(Don't get me wrong, the sun is nice

But the wind still bites

So make your bed, regret your life

But I won't forfeit mine)
