Every time that I try to save myself I sink

Into sevens and sevens I'm high on rye

Finding no salvation in these drinks but you're beautiful

And blurry eyed as we walk the bowery

You say it looks like I lost a bar fight

Some kind of drunken divorcee I say you're not far off

Because it seems like I've been fighting with myself

For days and days I think I need your help

Its getting late lets let the bar close down

Lets let the last call flood lights drown us out

As each stranger staggers out alone

Drinking like the prohibition without their chaperones

But Im not you're problem

The last thing I wanna be is another burden on you

We might fight like family

That's just what families do

But you gotta help yourself no one else is gonna save you

I get knocked down, don't get up again

Just lay there on the ground with the shakes and the spins

No helping hand to be found

Just porcelain and piss
