The sunbeams fall across the floor, where dust motes dance and gleam

A silent house, a hollow core, a broken, empty dream

No gentle paws upon the rug, no purring in my ear

Just memories, a tender hug, and silent, falling tear

The window seat, your favorite place, where you would watch the birds

Now holds an empty, lonely space, with unspoken, whispered words

Oh, Ghost, my Ghost, where did you softly go?

A shadow fading, in the afterglow

Your ghostly prints, upon my heart rеmain

A love so pure, that easеs all the pain

I miss your grey black fur, your eyes of emerald green

A silent friend, my ghostly king

The toys lie scattered, untouched and cold, your favorite feather toy

The stories that were left untold a bittersweet employ

I find your fur upon my clothes, a whisper of your grace

And feel warmth that softly flows, across this empty space

The scratching post, a silent plea, a testament to time

A constant, gentle memory, a love that's truly prime

Oh, Ghost, my Ghost, where did you softly go?

A shadow fading, in the afterglow

Your ghostly prints, upon my heart remain

A love so pure, that eases all the pain

I miss your grey black fur, your eyes of emerald green

A silent friend, my ghostly king

They say that pets leave paw prints, upon the soul they keep

And yours are etched so deeply, in slumber and in sleep

I know you're chasing butterflies, in fields of endless light

A spirit free, beyond the skies, a beautiful, pure sight

Oh, Ghost, my Ghost, where did you softly go?

A shadow fading, in the afterglow

Your ghostly prints, upon my heart remain

A love so pure, that eases all the pain

I miss your grey black fur, your eyes of emerald green

A silent friend, my ghostly king

I'll keep your memory alive, in every gentle breeze

And I know your love will always thrive, among the rustling trees

My ghostly friend my silent grace, you'll never fade away

And in my heart, you'll find your place, until we meet someday
