Kdaxx samples the popular TV series American Horror Story. He samples a line from Tate Langdon, a character played by Evan Peters in the first season.
This is possibly a metaphor for all the struggles and adversaries the rapper has to deal with. It links nicely with the heroic trope of a hero usually facing the bad guys. In this case the bad guys or monsters could symbolize Kdaxx’s internal struggles.
This could be a shoutout to all the artists that are featured on Renegade Society II
It’s a very powerful way to start off the album and it reminds listeners that this is a team effort.
At the beginning there’s a female robotic voice speaking.
Kdaxx is roleplaying the character Mr. Sentinel from Marissa Meyer’s Renegade series. It’s his persona that he plays throughout the album.
These lines indicate that there’s a call to action and that Kdaxx has a duty to save his city. This could be a metaphorical battle.
This line is sang repeatedly throughout the song. Kdaxx admits that he fell in love with a film star.
It’s not very clear who this movie star is that Kdaxx is referring to. Some fans have speculated the song to be about either Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things because of her recent engagement or Evan Peters from American Horror Story judging by the sample that comes later. However, the rapper has made no solid confirmation about either of these movie stars. It’s all open to interpretation.
This line seems to be about regret. Kdaxx could be regretting his decision of falling in love with this particular person and now he’s suffering the consequences.
These lines show that Kdaxx is conflicted within himself. He’s conflicted on whether this relationship is beneficial or detrimental to him.
