Prison Bitterness

They caught me on a bad day

And they put me down for time

Ten years to pay my crime

And now I've only two more years to go

The judge said "Be a good boy

And maybe you'll forget"

But I ain't done that yet

And all I've got is mental scars to show

It's just the sun is all that shines

Through the bars above my bed

Signify another day

And this throbbing in my head

Just the stars are all that shine

Through the bars above my bed

Signify another night

And this throbbing that's in my head

The judge said "Be a good boy

And maybe you'll forget"

But I ain't done that yet

Now I have these mental scars to show
