[Interlude: Kanye West]

I always felt like I could do anything. That's the main people are controlled by, there perception of themselves. They're slowed down by their perception of themselves. If you're taught you can't do anything then you won't do anything. I was taught I could do everything.

[Interlude 2]

I want to represent an idea. I wan't to represent possibilities. I want to represent the idea that you really can make what you want. The first step before anybody in the world believes in is what you have to believe in. There's no reason to have a plan B because it distracts you from plan A. I believed that I could create whatever I wanted to create.

[Hook]

Since the day of my birth I ain't never been like none of them

I was left out by the in crowd except again I'm not trying to be like none of them

Young man standing on his own two now

Homie I got all these dreams up inside of me

Yeah, and I done hopped out the sheets

Now it's time to turn these dreams into reality

I'm trying to turn them to reality

Since the day of my birth I ain't never been like none of them

I was left out by the in crowd except again I'm not trying to be like none of them

Young man standing on his own two now

Homie I got all these dreams up inside of me

Yeah, and I done hopped out the sheets

Now it's time to turn these dreams into reality

I'm trying to turn them to reality

[Verse 1]

I used to wonder what my purpose was

Like yo why am I here?

Dying before making a difference in this life was my fear

Man I had to wrestle with it

I had a talk with the Lord

He said "I made you to be different even if they don't applaud"

One day it really hit me, speak for those without a voice

You was in they position, you ain't really got a choice

Give hope to the hopeless, inspire with every line

At the end of the day this is far deeper than rhymes

Cause you was in a dark place, you know how it feels

Don't just give the people what they want

Give 'em something real

It's a lot of fabrications that ain't helping us much

They want to make you nod your head, but they ain't building us up

[Pre-Hook]

Like yo, I know the road to your dreams is never the safest

Just understand there's a chance that you got to be taken

Really nothing is impossible for those who believe

Just get on your grind, roll up your sleeves and keep working

[Verse 2]

It's one thing to have a dream, it's another to chase

It's easy to run from a challenge, it's harder to face it

A lot people get a shot, at least some of 'em take it

It's too many people comfortable with being complacent

I'd rather knowing I gave it all with no regrets

Than leave this lifetime with a whole bunch of what-ifs

Down for too long, I'm trying to see my people win

He done put us in these waters now it's time to sink or swim

This for the single mother that's providing for her family

This for the kid that believes he can be all he can be

Set goals, follow them dreams, make 'em reality

You was made for more than a minimum wage salary

[Pre-Hook]
