[Intro]

Yeah I know you wanna win, yeah I know you wanna win

I heard we only listen to each other if it's from within

I guess it's finally time for us to take a deeper look within

And talk about something too serious for words written with pen

[Verse 1]

I heard the left say that the right

Just wanna take away your rights

Especially if you a women

They don't understand your plight

I mean how could they?

Old white man just wanna grab you by the cookie

Drafting laws and dictating how it should be

Shit goes on too long and so you bust back

And tell 'em we don't want that, have fun at

That new job that you workin' for

Cause we 'gon vote you out the door

And while your there remember

Keep your laws up off her body bro

[Verse 2]

Now before we step ahead let's think about what we've just said

I'ma break it down for you if it went over your head

Yeah we know some men are sexist living like Homo Erectus

All they're thinking 'bout is how to get you laying in their bed

But take a step back, do you really think that

The reason that these Sapiens disagree is only rooted in misigyny?

Whoops, I mean misogyny probably had a little bit to do with it

It's true if you a women this an issue that influences you in a way I'll never have to deal with

But hold up, listen to me real quick

Most people just want to live a life where things feel right

Where nobody kills each other and kids don't fight

And you can lay out in the sun and enjoy the sight

Of a new born baby laughing and smiling bright

See the reason that some people have a different opinion

Is usually not for those reasons that we were given

They disagree not cause they want to tell you what to do

They're just worried about the life they think's growing inside of you

[Interlude 1]

Now before you trip and throw a fit over these words I say

Just listen to this

[Hook]

Everybody got problems

Everybody got problems

I'm just hoping we can solve 'em, hoping we can solve 'em

Man I'm hoping we can solve 'em

Everybody got problems

Everybody got problems

I'm just hoping we can solve 'em, hoping we can solve 'em

Man I hope that we solve 'em

[Verse 3]

But we ain't solvin' shit if we never listen

Stay attacking these corrupt politicians

Only if they don't hold our position

Cause if they do it seems we change our decision to attack

Remember when the DNC wouldn't let Bernie

Be the nominee even if that's what we the people

Had wanted man that race was never equal

Skipped right over it and went straight to the sequel

Instead we talkin' bout how Trump colluded

With some people overseas cause we seen some tweets

That made us believe like prophecy

So when report was released we're still looking for heat

To try to throw at 'em just so we can beat his party

When the only one that's proven to tamper was ours

See to me that's example of hypocrisy

And boxed in screens only seeing what we want to see

No I'm not tryna say that we should believe

The ideologies of our enemies

I'm just sayin' that we shouldn't think they're enemies

Otherwise we'll never get to live in pea- *gun shots*

[Interlude 2: *All Overlapping*]

[Donald Trump:] I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation

[Hilary Clinton:] You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorable's

[Trump Supporters:] Lock her up! Lock her up!

[Hilary Clinton:] My argument is not with his supporters it’s with him

[Donald Trump:] because there has never been so many lies, so much deception, there has never been anything like it

[Hilary Clinton :] The racists, sexists, homophobic, xenophobic

[Donald Trump:] This was locker room talk. We have a divided nation because people like her

[Hilary Clinton:] Islamophobic, you name it

[Donald Trump:] and believe me, she has tremendous hate in her heart

[Hilary Clinton:] And with the hateful and divisive campaign that he has run

[Questioner:] Would either of you name one positive thing that you respect in one another?

[Verse 4]

I'ma need another minute just to finish these thoughts

I'm independent from these labels try to put us in box

Whether you left or you right, liberal or conservative

Democrat, Republican don't matter both deserted

Any notion of the truth when we filter our news

Only listen to your side so you got nothing to lose

What you're missing out in spite of thinking yours is the truth

Is the opportunity to go and challenge your views

If you so sure about 'em shouldn't be so scared to put 'em to the test

Go listen to the other side before replies just hold your breath

And think about the things that they just said

Like really I'm wondering, when's the last time you were open to up-

Ending your own chosen opinion

Rather than just thinking like minion

For the tribe you a part of?

To get to the heart of what I'm tryna say

Let me leave you with one final thought

[Outro]

Humans are tribal we were born tribal because we evolved to be tribal but it doesn't mean that we have to continue to be that way

You can't assume that someone's wrong just because they disagree with you just like you can't assume that someone's right just because they hold other views that you hold

It's nice to feel like we're a part of something bigger than ourselves but whenever we erase our autonomy we erase ourselves and we're all too valuable for that

We're all too valuable
