Another gang war

Shootin' trying to be the boss

A mother aches sore

Another child lost

She tried to raise him right

But he picked the wrong friends

Then his grades took a dive

Hangin' in the streets

Blowin' haze gettin' high

Daddy walked out

Around age nine

So he's lost in this world

Without a real guide

But his mother

Who was caught up in the struggle

He tried to keep his head up

But he didn't see hope

Knew the money wasn't comin'

So he started sellin' dope

His life flashed before his eyes
