[Intro: Josh Smith]

Heather, you know who you are...

This one's for you

[Verse 1: Josh Smith]

Jeans, sweatshirt, with no makeup on

People looking at her funny, they don’t know what’s wrong

Just a teen, but she’s seen some stuff you won’t believe

Being molested by her coach while on a soccer team

Struggling to recover but that the least of her worries

See there’s a story no one’s heard of and it such a burden to her

She’s hurting, put into Child Protective Services

When her mom had squeezed her neck and dropped her hard on the floor again

With the whole family watching, they ain’t do nothing

Acting like she’s fine at school, but, yo, she tired of frontin’

Self-esteem dwindling, belittling

Not feeling confident because her life ain’t what it should’ve been

And the worst of it is that that ain’t the worst of it, yet

Self-examination found a lump inside of her chest

She’s schizophrenic, she’s feeling manic, she starts to panic

It’s like the world is just closing in

A leaf detached from a tree, she’s blowing in the wind

In remission, but scared that cancer’s coming back again

Thinking about suicide, like her friend that actually did

It’s just too much that she don’t deserve, she wanted it to end

But Lord why? The girl is only sixteen

Worried that she’ll never get to follow her dreams

Little sister stuck at home, but she’s more like a daughter

Can’t stay with her crack head mother and her nonexistent father

Yeah, life falling apart

She picking the pieces up and hoping for a new start

It’s dark, she’s so scared of being all alone

She's calling and waiting patiently for somebody to answer the phone

But when they do, she just gets put on hold

God bless her poor breaking, aching, and shaken soul

Don’t wanna go home, so she stays late at school

Step into the size nines of Ms. Heather Nicole, let's go

[Verse 2: JP Silva]

Listen, I know how you feel

Dark empty mysterious still

Delirious to the point of oblivion

I could only imagine your opinion

Of your mom

Cuz I definitely had mine

And maybe we learn to forgive in time

But I feel the pain that you go through

You look for comfort as pain controls you

You struggled to breathe when you’re by yourself

Then when you with other niggas you somebody else

You put on a mask and hope that it last

Cuz you look at the past and saw how fast it went by

You think you’re okay as long as you believe in yourself

Till you realized you gave up a long time ago and put the book back on the shelf

You can’t believe how you kept on just going

Constant pain constantly flowing

You tears become blood as your sorrow starts showing

You sicken and bleaken as your pain is growing

Till you just have enough and your anger starts blowing

Staring at your room on that dark empty bed

Thinking everything he said

You cry and plead for God to help

You crumpled and bent down and knelt

Prayed for forgiveness and that out of goodness he’d spare you

But he didn’t answer and just stared at you

But you’re still standing Heather

I’m still standing and we can do it together

It don’t matter if it rain, let it rain

Like Eminem he said the wetter the better

So please I’m not gonna show signs of slowing down

I’ma be exposing and showing the world what I've become

Cuz if there's anyone to blow my parents will be one

I love you Heather hold it together

Cuz Birdie and I are gonna need you forever

[Verse 3: Josh Smith]

Yeah, I see you on the daily

You got me feeling worried sick because your life is crazy

But can you blame me? I’m just concerning for your safety

Cuz it seems like your situation is getting deeper lately

Hold up, I gotta slow it down

It pisses me off how no one ever comes around

You’re crying for help, but no one ever hears a sound

You just got me, JP and four / five more to hold you down

Some of the stuff you come to me with simply blows my mind

Like what you mean that you ain’t got nowhere to sleep tonight?

And what you mean telling me that you got kicked out the house?

I wish you could come with me so I could shelter you

But money’s tight at home and it’s like there’s nothing I can do

And then I see these dudes with money acting like a fool

Like only if they knew what kind of life you’re living through

Would they still drop these stacks on clothes and all these things they’re not gon’ use?

They probably would, cuz when you’re towards the top

You’re just worried about some fresh kicks that you’re tryna cop

When people lost towards the bottom just tryna steady rock

But they can’t when the government’s giving them that steady rock

That’s what happened to HEATHER, she’s just part of the system

Her daddy’s gone, but it’s hard for her to really miss him

She’s hoping for a better life, she’s on both knees and wishing

But it’s the same thing everyday, repeat it, wash it, and rinse it

HEATHER NICOLE,I want you to know this

You know I love you like a brother, but I don’t always show it

And I see you grinding, shining, and I praise you for it

Over the past couple of years, we’ve done a lot of growing

I’m proud of you, I’ll always be right by your side

And you know I’ll be there for you till the day I die

Life can only get better, so no need to cry

Wipe the tears up off your face and jump right up and touch the sky

[Verse 4: JP Silva]
