[Verse]

When I look up in the night

I see the stories of the people that came before me

I lay there and listen so carefully

And it could be real or it could be make-belief

But that don't change how I feel

These days I don't know what's not real

I walk past the door to the next life

And I was thinking this sounds pretty nice

Before everyone, there's a place and a time

I'm so young and the world is not mine yet

And I know It's one chance that I get

But there's been times where I'm hanging by a thread

And It's funny how it goes

Some days I don't want to be known

There's been days where I love myself

And there's been days where I wanna be anyone else

I know this feeling's not unique, that just me

Why is it that everyone's struggling to breathe

Suddenly everyone's crippled by anxiety

Nobody knows what it is that we're prescribing

Say it is what it is

So we're all getting high

And hoping, wishing the next generations gonna have what it is that we're missing

[Chorus]

Oh I wonder when our time is done

Will we be proud of what we have become

Oh I hope that when my time is up

That I'll've made a difference

And that it was enough

[Verse]

To make a change

Human interaction feels so strange

The foreign concept of a face [?] face

Now you'll exist in a parallel place

When It's shaping the way we communicate

'Cause nobody's got time

And It's all yours versus mine

Have we forgotten where we came from

When we needed one another just to [?]

Now It's fire with fire

We all have a quantifiable desire

And there's no end to the grief

Consumerism telling us we want what we don't need

We're blindsided, misguided by the minds

Of one-sided tidals leaving us

Divided, undecided why we buy the time

All our worlds collide

Will there be anyone left behind and would they take [?]

[Chorus]

Oh I wonder when our time is done

Will we be proud of what we have become

Oh I hope that when my time is up

That I'll've made a difference

And that it was enough

[Chorus]

Oh I wonder when our time is done

Will we be proud of what we have become

That I'll've made a difference

And that it was enough
