[Sound Bites]

(If the world that we are forced to accept is false and nothing is true, then everything is possible)

(On the way to discovering what we love, we will find everything we hate, everything that blocks our path to what we desire)

(Comfort will never be comfortable for those who seek what is not on the market)

(A systematic questioning of the idea of happiness)

(We’ll cut the vocal cords of every empowered speaker, we’ll yank the social symbols through the looking glass with the values society’s currency)

(To confront the familiar, society is a fraud so complete and [?] that it demands to be destroyed beyond the power of memory to recall its existence)

(Where there is fire, we will carry gasoline)

(To interrupt the continuum of everyday experience and all the normal expectations that go with it)

(To live as if something actually depended on one’s action)

[Verse 1]

I hear the economy’s fake but you can work your way to the top

And there’s a KKK member that just turned out to be a cop

Everyone is a whistleblower these days, left, right and center

‘cause we all do our best to point out an international agenda

I hear democracy’s failing but we’ve never really tried

Not ready for the truth, but we’re sick of hearing lies

Resources running out but the recession’s nearly over

If we can carry austerity over our shoulder

I hear the climate is changing but I don’t really hear a plan

NASA’s rockets are flying with no budget left to land

But if you still have a dream in your heart, whatever it is that you’ve been planning, now is the time to start

Now is the time to start

But if that sounded cliched, right?

[Verse 2]

Listen, to my critics in ivory towers

Don’t think for one second they think my lyrics have power

I just remember feeling powerless

Lost in a hopeless hypnosis

Locked in my mind

Facing my own ferocious psychosis

And I know that it’s all just hocus pocus

I’m feeling locked and focused

Don’t know if you’ve even noticed

I’m doing everything that I can to stop my own internal swarm of locusts

So before you come and offer up another diagnosis

Please understand when I’m talking about having a dream in my heart, I’m tryna claw my way out if I free your depression

Don’t get the wrong impression

Not some inner fence in your direction on purpose

I’m doing this to feel better about myself

But if you can find it in you to see what it is I’m wrestling with, then back the fuck off so I can keep on developing

I’m meddling with my reckoning, the results are unsettling enough without you threatening

You submit that you follow questioning, it’s deafening, I’m just saying

‘cause sometimes I wonder how long I would talk to you if you talked to me the way I did to myself

And I can’t be good for my health

Don’t need [?] as well

I’m not pretending it’s hell

I think I’m built for this

I think I’m built for this

He thinks he’s built for this

I think I’m built for this

He thinks he’s built for this

I called my friend up, right?

And I asked him if he thought that I was wasting my time

I [?] bad for that

And he said, “Mate, only you can answer that”

And he was right, I am my only witness

I am my only witness

And I guess under that umbrella of thinking what other people think of me is strictly none of my business

[Verse 3]

Back to the revolution

It’s not as if there is no alternative

I feel like intelligence has been removed from the conversation

There’s nothing more frustrating than watching the whole population involved in the devastation of neighboring nations

Having devolved to debate immigration

It’s fucking amazing

How we have taken the situation and then completely reframed it

And then of course we’ve claimed that above all of that

That somehow today opinions are just as important as fact
