[Verse 1: Jimanni]

You know, you know, yeah, It all started in high school, came up with a verse and everybody in class reacted to it like cool

Nigga do your thing, maybe someday you'll probably get a chance to do it on a bigger stage, type of shit that motivates

I couldn't wait to graduate, so I started to concentrate, practicing night and day, never took a holiday

Fast forward 2015 I dropped my first song

I was really overwhelmed by the response

Cause people I thought were never watching me

Was out there praising and applauding me, told me they were proud of me

At that point I knew I had to take this shit seriously

Had a nigga feeling ready for the industry

20damn17, first tape dropped

All the feedback and comments on the first day shocked me

I just thought it wasn't real more like it was a setup

I was finally popping, felt special than ever

Type of shit to make you give a testimony in church

Cause man I never thought that people could relate to my words

Now they finally do, I was pretty damn sure I had something to prove, had to make em understand I was really the truth, don't you get it confused

Now it's 2018, had to make another statement, felt like I could change things, tired of these artists who be always on the same shit

I just wanted to seal my place, dropped two more tapes the same month, that was april, even though I wasn't really stable at the time

Still had it on my mind to make a difference, only If they would listen to the messages encoded, someday they would quote it and point at my pictures

Like yo this nigga wrote it damn I was so lit

Gradually I was getting attention in abundance

9teen dropped and I was doing crazy numbers

Every major conversation had my name in it

Nobody could tell me shit cause in my mind I was winning

In my mind I was Young nigga doing big bidness

Had a taste of the sauce now I'm fucking lost in it

December 16, love & war dropped now we're back on the scene

Me and Kel made a classic as a superstar team

Had the noisy neighbors with me, together we chased dreams

It's 2019 and I'm caught up in some hardship

Noticed that I gradually became the starving artist

Kept it going regardless, determined I was gonna

Finish everything we started

Looking back i know we made progress by a large margin

I just wish I never got myself involved in the street shit

Wonder how the hell I got caught up in all that beef shit

I Noticed that some people started looking at me

Differently

Told me I was arrogant damn you must be kidding me

Cause I was only tryna tell em that I'm still the man

But the truth is most people didn't understand and I blame myself for selling the wrong image

It was okay to brag but I shouldn't have crossed limits

September 6th I dropped the sixth mixtape 'N3W SCHL GNGSTR'

Had hope that through it, my prayers would get answered

Just wanted to be sure I hadn't wasted all my chances

Few weeks later I met with Terry Tha Rapman

On and off the music I really respect that man

He taught me that it's not always about being talented

And what's more important is how you deal with the challenges

Picked up myself one day and did a video

Everybody loved it but I Thought that it was silly tho

Next day, woke up and it's popping on twitter

Funny thing is, just last night I wanted to give up

That was such a relief, I could finally breathe

All these haters on my back, they gone really believe

I'm truly special and I've always had the fire in me

It's 2020 at last, disappeared for a while just to work on my craft, i got a reason for that, had to change a couple things, make peace with the past, I'm much better now and I'm only speaking on facts

Know a lot of people wonder who the hell is this guy?

Never said that I was perfect, I do nothing but try

I'm a fucking real nigga who can never disguise

I got a lot on mind but I'm just young and ambitious know I'm destined to shine and for now I ain't rushing I'm just taking my time I got it!
