After Tony’s initial advances, Jennifer clearly rejects him, stating that the features he’s seeing in her are instead global evaluations that he’s projected onto her. She’s telling him to back off, and that she isn’t who he thinks she is— that he’s created this other version of her that isn’t actually her.

Her whole line is actually

You project all these qualities onto me. You don’t know me. This is what happens between doctor and patient-

She’s then cut off by Tony kissing her, which leads her to look him straight in the eye, in a clear, non-verbal rejection of his affections.

Before leaving, Tony then goes off and sheepishly says that

Out of respect for this office. You know, if you forget about the way that Tony Soprano makes his way in the world, that’s just to feed his children. There’s two Tony Sopranos. You haven’t seen the other one. That’s the one I wanna' show to ‘ya.

Jakey in his pinned comment has said that

Essentially, Moby Dick (the white whale) is love. For another, for myself; whatever.

The top entry on Urban Dictionary also defines a white whale as

Something you obsess over to the point that it nearly or completely destroys you. An obsession that becomes your ultimate goal in life; one that your life now completely encircles and defines you.
Captain Ahab was so obsessed with killing Moby Dick (the white whale) that it, in turn, killed him.

In the description and lyrics for “Medium”, Jakey talks about his friend’s girlfriend committing suicide years later. Jakey might blame himself for this and it could have a major impact on him, creating his emotional “White Whale.”

In his pinned comment, Jakey says that

Jakey here is expressing his relentless commitment to finding love, no matter how many times his heart is broken or he loses faith in himself. This reflects Captain Ahab’s relentless pursuit to capture or kill Moby Dick, no matter the cost.

Here, Tony Soprano from the hit TV series “The Sopranos” admits that he’s in love with his psychiatrist, Jennifer Melfi.

This gives context to the entire song and reinforces the themes of rejection and disillusionment scattered throughout the lyrics.

Here, Jakey is saying that you don’t have the right to be jealous of someone or mad at them if you don’t know the whole story.

On the exterior it may look like Jakey has a perfect life, he’s got a over 200,000 loyal subscribers on YouTube and is making good music, many people may be jealous of his life. Who wouldn’t want to make a living talking about videogames? However, Jake has lived through lengthy periods of depression and difficult times in his life would make his life seem much less enviable to most.

Jakey has a video on his YouTube channel, NakeyJakey, titled “Getting Your Heart Broken,” where Jakey mentions that he had his first crush when he was 13 and even got rejected when he told the girl.

While the “Get it, Fuck it up” sound like the regular rapper’s ad-libs, they also represent love in this context.

Richie Rich is a 1994 film about Richie (played by Macaulay Culkin), the richest kid in the world, who has everything he could ever want, except friends.

In this way, Jakey represents even if he were to make a nickel for every mistake he has made, he still would never be truly happy.

Jakey here is talking about seeing them together and how he prays for cataracts to make it so that he wouldn’t be able to.

A constant theme present throughout the song is Jakey’s search for love but eventual failure in doing so, only ever having music or “bass” to fill that gap in his life.

In a double entendre, bass is also a type of fish which can be found and caught in both saltwater and freshwater bodies.

This line plays into the previous one (in which Jakey mentions the wealth of religions) by inserting himself into the shoes of a prophet receiving a vision.

It juxtaposes a previous line in which he wanted to “pray for cataracts.” This time, he willingly accepts the vision and hopes that it bides him well (ie that he gets with the girl he’s talking about.)

Jakey is having visions like those in the 2003 sitcom That’s So Raven which featured a lead with supernatural powers that granted her the ability to see visions of the future. These visions, commonly of something bad happening, always come true even though she tries her best to prevent them. This is the repeating arc of each episode of the show.

To quote the show’s theme song;

I try to save the situation
Then I end up misbehaving

This reframes his hope that the vision he received would be a great one as Raven’s visions are almost always of something disastrous happening. It also gives deeper meaning to him praying for cataracts as he admits that his vision didn’t turn out as he wanted it to be, and that, as with Raven’s visions, there’s nothing he can do to stop it from happening.

In Jakey’s 4th official song titled Medium, he mentions that he lost his virginity at age 17 with his friend’s girlfriend.

This is a clear reference to the founder of the Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, who once said “You don’t get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich, you start a religion.”

Furthermore, Jakey uses this line to contextualize just how much wealth he’s talking about by using religions as points of reference. Most everyone knows that Western religious institutions (eg Catholicism, Anglicanism, etc.) hold vast amounts of wealth in the form of not just cash but also art, land, and cultural capital.

Jake wants to go back in time and not fall victim to his stupid mistakes when he says “run it back”.

When he says “take it back”, he wants to be able to take back all the stupid stuff he’s said.

“hold it back” meaning, he wants to hold back what he thinks and not say it for the fear of messing up or saying something stupid.

Here, Jakey is saying that you don’t have the right to be jealous of someone or mad at them if you don’t know the whole story.

A constant theme present throughout the song is Jakey’s search for love, which he represents with Moby Dick, but eventual failure in finding it, which metaphorically leaves him with nothing but bass.

In a double entendre, bass also means low in pitch. Bass is said in a low and powerful way, relating to this meaning.
