I came out the womb and boom there I was

Just a pound and nine ounces man that’s all I was

You couldn’t hear a tear, and dad asked why

Mom was by my side tears flying down her eyes

I had to climb mountains and we hoped for the best

I couldn’t get that oxygen to pump out of my chest

I was in the hospital my first ninety-nine

The 100th day was when I saw the sunshine

Had a superman painting on my wall

That’s because I got up after everytime i’d fall

Took me 3 years to finally learn to crawl

Took me 5 years to finally walk at all

So take it all in because my parents aren’t grieving

Gotta take it all in every morning and evening

Take it all in all the blessings i’m receiving

Man I can’t believe i’m 18 and still breathing

Man I can’t believe i’m 18 and still breathing

Took all of the odds and I beat em all to pieces

Man I can’t believe i’m 18 and I’m succeeding

Took all of the odds and I beat em all to pieces

Man I can’t believe i’m 18 and still breathing

Took all of the odds and I beat em all to pieces

Man I can’t believe i’m 18 and I’m succeeding

Took all of the odds and I beat em all to pieces

The trauma wasn’t over there was even more to see

And ever since my birth i’ve had plenty of surgeries

I’ve had the same number as years i’ve been here

On this earth i’ve been fighting since birth

From broken legs to pneumonia tubes in my chest

And they all were a test I passed and i’m blessed

Never failed never quit never bailed i had grit And I was determined to never quit

Only clothes I could fit in were for toys

Couldn’t even cry, you wouldn’t hear a noise

All that you heard were the hospital tones

It was unknown if I was gonna go home

On the 100th day man we walked out of there

Finally I got to take a breath of fresh air

Took it all in, we just couldn’t believe it

We walked out of the hospital and I was still breathing

I want you to take away what i’m about to say

Don’t let the doubt stop you from following your dream

And even though everything isn’t what it seems

You can’t quit it now and don’t throw all of it away

As long as you stay determined you can do anything, believe me

Never did I quit after all of it and now i’m 18 years old and i’m still breathing
