What if there’s nothing?

Nothing behind me

What if my worry

Fades with the warm air?

What if my eyes are

The ones that are lying?

What if I had a

Reason for crying?

Then I might know why the best times feel like wandering around

Touching nothing of myself or the ground

If I had something

Sure beneath my feet

Then I could fall asleep here on Gibbs St

But would I wake up?

I smoked my last last cigarette today

‘Cos time moves fast enough without me

Not that it’s too fast, I just worry too much about who I will be

I shouldn’t worry about things I cannot see
