Clearcut

You say that luck's not been on your side

And your lifestyle's been on the slide

Every day is looking the same

And you're losing the power of your brain

Well who's to blame?

Well we're all the sum of our parts

But some have it down to an art

Keeping the pieces intact

The surface is rarely cracked

No matter the impact

There is no clearcut answer

No cure for all the self-doubt

That creeps in late at night

When there's nothing left to talk about

Saw a long-lost brother the other day

Crossed the road to get out of his way

Couldn't bear to look at his face

For seeing myself in his place

God what a waste

Well we're all the sum of our parts

But some are just cursed from the start

A faulty genetic code

Destined to overload

And veer off the road

There is no clearcut answer

No cure for all the self-doubt

That creeps in late at night

When there's nothing left to talk about

When you have found the answer
