Eyes fixed forward

Surrounded by infinite lights

I smile

But I was unaware that i could feel anything at all

I watch the lights change from red to blue

I feel the slow decay of time

Relax, tilt my head back

And submit myself to the void

To become one

I was just a gear, in the progress machine

We raped our planet of its resources

To advance our technologies

As we ascend the Kardashev scale

We reached past the heavens

We left a barren planet and a dying star

To spread out and infect the galaxy

We stole the energy from all the stars

But i couldn't bare to watch the sky turn black

From our insatiable hunger

Countless other species perished

We had no respect for their feeble minds

I left my home to ascend this realm

Destroy my kind

And reverse what has been done

It comes down to this

Everyone I left behind i know I'm sure to miss

But this has to be done
