Summer sadness turned to madness in a blink, grab a bottle started drinking you be aiming for the sink, get the bottle and I take another swig, I’ve been fired from my job, Now i ain’t getting a shift! This is shit, my summers been drained clean, And i been diagnosed, new patient, of the diabetes team. Fuck it

VERSE

This whole time I’ve been living a lie, i started summer, Halifax, working kitchen full time. I cut my finger with a knife And lost my job, I got fired cuz of injury and days I had off, what they doing it’s unethical as shit, so I’m moving back to Ottawa, Im trynna get rich

Back in Ottawa, a 2hr trip, i be getting off the flight like, I’ll have a sip! Ha! I’m just kidding, but I’m nervous as shit, cuz now I’m broke, parents on me and they worried bout they kid, like, you better find yourself a job real quick or You’ll be out of money for food and we gon be there paying for it. Cool, I start asking around, crust and crate have an opening I’m hitting the rounds, a guy Chris, ye he hires me up, I’m promised full time hours, promised 15 dollars on the dot. He gets fire, now it’s seeming that I’m out a job. They all slobs, it’s not fair cuz Now I’m out a lot. Im cut full time to working 12 a week, kinda funny how I’m punished and I didn’t even get to speak. But now there’s nothing to do cuz time’s gone, Now Im focused on my lyrics, and I’m hoping for a hit song

VERSE

This whole time I’ve been living a lie, i finished summer, barely working, I’ve been laid out to dry. I didn’t get my first check till last month, now the restaurant going under, cut my hours, feeling brushed off, what they doing it’s unethical as shit, yeah I’m moving back to Halifax, I’m trynna get rich

Im in the capital, the 613, there’s no way Im getting off it man I need it to breathe, I load it up, so I can take another rip, it’s oj for the lows yeah I’m taking a sip, I’m no different I can drink what I like, I’m just stabbing up my body, 13 units a night. I’m not quite used to this, And i don’t know what i should do, And I’m not sure if u can overdose or overuse, but that’s beside the fact I need it to survive, just like many other people yeah it’s saving all they lives, stabbing shit it makes you feel uneasy, maybe I should be the one to go so you don’t even have to see me. I’m just kidding you can leave if you like, but this a part of me I’m doing it wherever I like. This shit stuck, yeah I’m with it my entire life, and so young, now I’m stabbing every fucking night

VERSE

I’ve been living lies, Finished summer Wanna cry, I’ve been living life till the fucking day I die, and i don’t know what is up cuz u be talking shit, but now I know those were the old days and that was it, and back then, i couldn’t see we had a bond, I thought we were bros but still a couldn’t see the respawn , realizing that it wasn’t what it be, we were labeled as such, But still I couldn’t rlly see, back then a lot of rooted mistrust, I used to do all of the shit that made u mad, u despised me, and thats the shit that made me rlly sad, how my life be, but this summer I be noticing change, and when u came over to visit for a little it was great, gave me a break from the yelling and the hate, saw u start respecting me and I know it ain’t the same, I’ve grown up, now I’m looking trynna make a name. I love you bro, And I’m hoping that u feel the same, but if you don’t I’m just hoping we can try again, peace
