Blind Persistence

There's always gonna be disbelievers

And there's always gonna be those who wanna see you fail

But that's when you have to ask yourself if you're gonna let them be right

If you let them be right, you give them power

Or you can follow in my footsteps

But you still gotta be the leader of your own life

So technically its not following, but leading me to where I take you

Does that make any sense? If it does cool, if not just listen

About a year ago, my life started changing

People said I couldn't do it now they listen when I'm singing

I'm not mad I'm really more empathetic

I feel indebted to the ones I promised i'd fail

I'm not in yale, princeton or harvard but I'm a martyr

Warning you must prep to hear the tale

Of the starving artist (x3)

Floss.....I'll be your starving artist

I wanna be the richest man alive to buy the london eye

And make a trillion dollars just to own half of spain

Donations across the world to help soothe the pain

Of a dragon's non existence in everyone's greatest vision

Improving diction, add some focus to the culture

Know id be dead but I savor me some vultures

Imagine babies, and those without a voice

It's not their choice, you may rejoice, i'll be your starving artist

Call me starving marvin, I wanna end all corruption

Shed your pain through my words your soul must function

To understand, I'm tryna be more than a ripple

I wanna be dillan not dill another pickle

Im starving but im going, my process getting stronger

I'll eat myself alive, before I die a martyr

Without a purpose its working my feelings getting heard (x2)

I'm sitting on the curb the stars staring at me

Concieted them watching would really make me happy

Cuz I'm alive but I wanna be a star

I need my name to live, I really need it to go far

Im starving but im going, my process getting stronger

I'll eat myself alive, before I die a martyr

Without a purpose its working my feelings getting heard (x2)
