If I listened to my bones, I'd have learned this long ago

There's dark matter in between the snow that falls on the city streets

And upon those silent walls, footsteps that are my own

I leave them there to wait, sure to be shoveled away

Now how will you remember

The weight of passing days?

Well, I'll tell myself stories

While the truth within them fades

Dreams that I have had drift along throughout the day

Like a cloud I caught, but held too tight, and so returned to rain

I loved you like a child and every word I said I meant

But still you call me snow queen, so no, I will not burn your hands

We lost our bone heat

Call me your snow queen

We lost our bone heat

Call me your snow queen
