Growth towards newfound sunlight prevented by painfully planted roots

Weary and wilting, a flower incapable of bloom

Vapid vibrance

Ephemeral effervescence

Your blood spills onto petals manifests into a morbid excrescence

Ruin remedied by rain

Fauna fresh to the touch

Dissipates the death, April's the cruellest of months

From you I have been absent in this Spring

Emerging life quells the emptiness that’s eating me from within

The path to contentment is one I'm walking too slow and the dying embers of my passion couldn't keep me warm throughout winter’s cold

Now hope emerges in a hopeless soul as they observe the flowers in bloom

Although he still ponders his purpose in a life that will no longer contain you

Ambivalent optimism, well founded in disappointment

Hesitant of new beginnings and the prospect of enjoyment

Why is the privilege of pleasure something I feel I have no right to contain?

Unable to adjust to the loneliness from which I'm attempting to abstain

I surrender to spring showers and away from my solitude I am swept, once battered by bereavement but now able to begin afresh

From you I have been absent in this Spring

Emerging life quells the emptiness that's eating me from within

The path to contentment is one I'm walking too slow and the dying embers of my passion couldn't keep me warm throughout winter's cold

Desperate to deter the despair that I'm fighting, I'm incapable of escaping all of the terror that the night brings
