Let me tell you something you already know

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows

It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are

It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it

You, me, or nobody is going to hit as hard as life

But it ain't about how hard you hit

It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward

How much you can take and keep moving forward

Feeling like Balboa, always something to prove

Struggling everyday, creating music that moves

Hearts and souls, maybe move me out the hood

Sacrifice personal life, working for the greater good

Facing battles head on, till the world beat me down

Took every ounce to get my life turned back around

If I should die before I wake remember me for these words:

That although the world knocked me down I moved forward

I move forward, with the momentum of hope

Living life on the edge,dangling from a rope

But I see the end of the storm,and that's a nice change

Life's strange,and in a way,I blamed it on my age

Turning the page, seeing words inked in blood stains

I'm looked at strange because I want to change ways

Most people fold or play the hand that they've been given

On the other hand I do what it takes to earn the winnings

Envisioned a better life for myself beyond these city walls

Beyond the cried river where broken dreams crawl

All I ever wanted was to leave a mark, remembered for words

That's the constant drive pushing myself forward

Sometimes It takes a fall to advance in life

Sometimes you gotta give your all, chance it twice

My life is a boxing bout and I’m unstoppable

Fueled on blood spouts and Rocky quotes…

My life is a movie, and it’s so under budget

The world’s throwing hands and I be ducking punches

Life hits hard, I’m bruised to the core…

But can’t be stopped in the task of moving me forward

Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth

But you got to be willing to take the hit

Not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be

Because of him, or her, or ANYBODY!!!
