[Skit: [?], Crowd]

And celebrate with fists up in the air, everybody. For we all right here, you know what I’m sayin’? We represent this philosophy, this group of ideas. I look out in the crowd, I see white, I see black. It makes you feel proud to be part of it. So on the count of three, I want us all to say “power”. Y’all ready? One, two, three. Power

[Intro: APlus]

Uh

Uh, oh, man

Hayds, yeah

Yeah, uh, uh

[Verse 1: APlus]

This is kinda like

Sunrise over Black Mountain skies

Sit tight, I’d advise, I’ll tell this story right

I gotta tell my point of view and let these demons take flight

From the deep southside where I rode my first bike

To that high school where I met the love of my love

She’s gone, but he stays strong

The beat plays on, I guess it just wasn’t our song

Live on, baby, maybe in the next life

Semantix, brother, we fuckin’ did it

It’s our turn now, son, no fuckin’ kiddin’

I told ‘em that I’d do this shit, kid

I do it for those that’d laugh and say that I wouldn’t

I do it for my father ‘cause he said that I couldn’t

But I still love him to death and now your son is the best

When I bust flows to crush those that fuck with the crest

Yep, swear I get it, swear I got it

You try to fuck with H, mate, I don’t see the logic

And my grandfather [?], where I get my middle name from

The daughter that he raised who I get my inner flame from

Let it burn, shine bright, no return flight

Semantix is forever, motherfucker, you heard right

The never-ending story, I push the pen and glory

And when I put it to this pad, son, end of story

(What) We tear ‘em up too much, yep

Growin’ up I never learnt to use rubbers

So I got a baby girl and she got a baby brother

But they know that I’m the daddy and there’ll never be another

And I love ‘em to the sun and back, runnin’ with Uncle Matt

Workin’ to ensure that they’ll be livin’ by the shore (Yes, y’all)

Uh, out here tryna escape our past

So I grab the microphone and put the pain on blast

I’m just a kid from the valley, grew up way too fast

But I’m here

[Chorus: Odeon, Nas]

I’m still here, still livin’ and breathin’

I can achieve anythin’ as long as I keep believin’

My tongue is power, it kills d–demons

Long as I’m still breathin’, I’m still winnin’, I teach ‘em

I’m still here, I’m still chasin’ my dreams

And still facin’ my fears, there’s no way that I’m ever leavin’

My tongue is power, power

Long as I’m still breathin’, I’m still winnin’, I teach ‘em

[Verse 2: Mattrix, Flipadeck]

From the bottom to the top I give it everything I got

I’m livin’ for the rhythms in the lyrics that I jot

Spittin’ that wisdom I was given by listenin’ to hip hop

Still got a lot to learn

I burn page after page, tryna find the right words to say

Sittin’ on the couch late, lost in a daze

Mate, I’ve been doin’ in my brain

But I just wanna be dope, I’m not doin’ it for fame

I just wanna be heard, can you hear me now?

Might mean nothin’ to you, but I’m really proud

It’s that feelin’ I get when I’m hearin’ a crowd

After rockin’ a set, it’s got me feelin’ like “Wow”

And if I can do this, then I can do that

Shit, I can do anything as a matter of fact

But I just wanna rap for my people

It’s all love, my brother, we created equal (Yeah)

[Verse 3: Flipadeck]

Growin’ up I was a kid with a great imagination

I found faith in these good vibrations

From dreams of rockin’ the stages to tryna shake these nerves

It got me feelin’ like I’m caged in (Uh)

I cracked the shell right, only time will tell why

The world changes and best mates become strangers

Break ups to make ups to maybe let’s just say I daze up

I still miss her but I wish her the best

Yo, life isn’t perfect, we all go through shit

When you slip you must learn to become all the wiser

Could hide from the truth of the spirit inside us

So choose to be surrounded by those who inspire

That’s why I live honest and follow my instincts

Praise the positive, forget about that narrow-minded shit

Don’t get why people focus on others with so much hate

When they could use the energy within to make themselves great, uh

[Chorus: Odeon, Nas, Hayds]

I’m still here, still livin’ and breathin’

I can achieve anythin’ as long as I keep believin’

(Just gotta keep believin’, yeah)

Pow–pow–pow–pow–power

I’m still here, I’m still chasin’ my dreams

And still facin’ my fears, there’s no way that I’m ever leavin’

(Uh)

(No way) (Yeah)

[Verse 4: Hayds]

It all started with the props that I got from my mates at school

When I played a track I made and they all said it was cool

Then asked to burn it on a disc so they could play it at home

That put the battery in my back to get better and keep goin’

We were sixteen (Uh) Skippin’ class, gettin’ blazed (Yeah)

Too blazed to chat up those chicks ‘cause we were dazed

Plus I was paranoid about the pimples on my face

Lookin’ through the mirror, stressin’, goin’ through them growin’ pains

So I kinda kept to myself and just perfected my craft

Thanks god I’s gifted with expression through art (Yeah)

I know it’s hard for young’uns tryna find a place in this world

It took me twenty-seven years to finally find it myself

And yo, I’m still searchin’, but now I know where the power lies

A clean mind, body, and soul inside

External pressures might distract us in the process

But don’t stress, trust that nature always knows best

[Verse 5: Brett Super]

Uh, knowledge is power, but power is freedom

The freedom of setting yourself free of what you once believed in

It’s those three kings with them two princes

I wanna give you two inches of my book of rhymes but there’s too few minutes

Basically, I learnt the secrets of the universe

Without ever going to university to do the work

I’m a energetic orb trap with a human curse

So when they put me into the Earth I live on through my words

I know the corporation probably want my corpse

Let ‘em have it, I’ll be back at the planet where I was before

And I’ll be satisfied if you can build a temple for me

Have me in there mummified, buried with a hundred wives

[?] Pete Rock because the soul survive

I drop a rhyme with a paperclip, I am so MacGyve’

Or when I’m in the booth it’s hunting time

And I don’t mean hunting MCs, or hunting like food

I mean I’m hunting like that movie by Matt Damon and that other guy

South Berra, cold plains, tell these other tribes

We got the power in numbers but power’s only in abundance

If it’s power where love is, let it open up your dome

Like a flower when it rains, then we run this

I got a few monkeys lurking on my spirit

Still I’m learnin’ how to clear it and I’m learnin’ how to steer it back (Yeah, uh)

To the infinite, tryna keep it coherent

See the sky ain’t even the limit when you’re pilotin’ your visions

That’s power

[Outro: [?]]

Really, I am always working up on my game. There is a level of mastery that I haven’t even begun to touch. But I am focused on that because it is pulling me into it. So for you who are the future masters of the world: be pulled by the master within who wants to rise you up to be one that this world can understand. And you too: don’t let this world tell you that you are not an infinitely majestic and powerful being. They don’t want you to believe that, they don’t want you to believe that at church and they don’t want you to believe that at school. The government don’t want you to believe that. Your friends that are lazy and don’t have that light burning within them will try to pull you down as well. Never let anybody pull you down. This is for you, this is for you, and this is for you. This is for you: never let anybody pull you down. You are a shining light. There is a light that is so bright and so powerful inside of every single human being. And you might have to go through some challenges only so you can be shifted in your consciousness, so that you can see properly. What they’re trying to do for you. So the challenge of growth is beautiful. It will shift you and change you and mould you and it might be painful and it might be uncomfortable as it pulls you out of your comfort zone, but it will make you a man. It will make you a woman. It will turn you into a divine being. It will show you how powerful you are
