Crows feet tracks leave gouges in skin

Another day passes where I couldn't make you smile

A new ache reaches down and twists off my head

The dead marrow refreshed by dialysis

I remember when we were in love

But time has taken that from us

Cut out a bigger missing piece

And try to fit into someone, else

Estrangement is our new normal

Too scared to leave

But so hard.... to stay

I have pictures - of who we once were

That life is over - that time is past
