In a land many years ago
A dragon lived in his treasure hole
Evil filled his heart and soul as he cried
"Who can be my dinner tonight?
Who'll be my dinner tonight?"
He was greedy, mean and free
Killing people as he pleased
Something changed him and you'll see it was love
Who will be my woman tonight?
Who'll be my woman tonight?
From ruddy nostrils came the fire that showed
His teeth that glistened like the sun
Across the moon he soared with mighty wings
A fire bred charger on the run
As he was flying high, he saw bеlow him
A place he'd nevеr seen before
And slowing down, deep in the trees, he found
A lady crying all alone
Through the sky in the twinkling of an eye
He landed on a mountain close by the sea
Lady smiled with her dragon in the wild in wonder
That his love now seemed to be free
The dragon's breath drew close with flames so strong
He dried her tears and cracked the trees
Green scale upon his back and long forked tail
A wicked smile into the breeze
The dragon snorted flame in joy unguessed
Dancing in the moonlight by the shore
They smiled and kissed and knew eternal bliss
The dragon lived forever more
Dragon smiled, how his lady drove him wild
He held her with his wings wrapped close by his side
Built a nest with some gold upon the crest
And love grew and his fury slowly had died
