In the shopping malls and the salon stalls

In the land of the free and fake tan

Everybody’s got some big acquisition

They’re making it big and cashing right in

Suburbia is so far away

From the 22nd day of the welfare state

Look around you, they surround you

And there’s nothing going on there today

Those awkward Christian school girls march down my street

Every night of the week evening on evening and weekends

I’ve got nowhere left to hide, but I’m gonna be fine

Jesus is coming to save me

On a downtown train in the pouring rain

In the heat of the nuclear sun

Tracy had some great revelation

Someday that her savior would come

And carry all the chosen away

While the sinners were all left here to tribulate

Look around you, they surround you

And there’s something going on there today

Those awkward Christian school girls march down my street

Every night of the week evening on evening and weekends

I’ve got nowhere left to hide, but I’m gonna be fine

Jesus is coming to save me from myself

And Tracy says she aching to be

The best soldier that she can be

She knows the lord provides for some

While others reach for the bottom rung

And Tracy know someday that she’ll be

The best soldier that she can be

She knows one day the Lord will anoint her

One of the chosen ones

Out on the freeway today

All the God-fearing Christians were whisked away

And the sinners were all left here to burn

Free of judgement they lived and learned

To love one another

And take care of each other

And the world was a much better place

When Jesus took his soldiers away
