Look in me, I’m nothing

A worthless entropy

Look in me, there’s something

A heart hardly beating

These days I seem less energized

But that doesn’t mean I don’t try

But what’s it matter? Cause even then

I can’t operate like the rest of them

Sprawled out on the lawn, doing nothing

Nothing but a pointless action

Doing the most, I barely make it

Where would I be if I just quit?

In the end, nothing matters

If I died no one would faltеr

I fail the test, I spill the milk

And still I cry ovеr and over

I spilled again, but now it’s red

And my conscience is losing function

Glass on the floor, or was it a razor?

In the end, it doesn’t matter

I scramble for ounces of attention

When I don’t think I even want it

But just to get some validation

From people I don’t even respect

I would gladly be treated as an object

And apologize for flinching when they hit too hard

Because I’m nothing without recognition

And I’ll never have enough of it

And while I bitch and moan in my bed

I don’t think I have tried my best

So I’ll deplete my personality again

To try and ace a practice test

But will I even have studied?

Will I have done enough to be worthy?

Worthy of the attention of those who couldn’t care less about me

Worthy of validation from those the most vain in the room

Even though I have some decent judgement

Even though I know this isn’t healthy

I can’t seem to find anything else more worthwhile
