The only thing I think that one could do is wonder or worry

About a comfortable way to die, living their life in a hurry

It seems unfair to me we're born without a say

All of us come into life like that and most of us go out that way

I shout with rage to somehow delay the clouded day the reaper comes

There doesn't seem to be a way around the fate

Your own demise is the one thing you could trust in

I find it simultaneously beautiful and disgusting

It's the one inevitability, regardless of objection or acceptance

It's set in stone; death begets perfection

But don't you cry 'cause every one of us is born to die

And even the brightest stars become extinguished relentlessly

The balance mustn't be disrupted, it's uninterrupted

Life is something everyone must relinquish eventually

In order to be born you have to die and that is why

We cling to things like afterlives and hope for multiple rebirths

We're so attached to that which happens and those that we've met

We hope to forget that our only destiny is leaving Earth

I hope you don't misinterpret it

Nothing's permanent, surely you've heard it all before and understand

The molten core up to the dirt on the surface

Will be reverted, deserted, even the sky residing above the land

Life is intertwined ineffably with death

Neither of the two are opposites, in fact they're both one in the same

Two sides of a coin, the negative, the positive

I'd bet it's never possible to have the yin without the yang

Or the water without the flame

The yes without the no; any source of growth without the pain

The pride without the shame, no type of night without the day

You surely won't ever be born if you could never pass away

That's the way it works, it maybe hurts, regardless

Life's an auto-piloting system which is flawless

With no supervision so many different things evolved

And we wouldn't have made it far if death was not a fated part of it

I know how hard it is to watch your loved ones die

How hard it really is to say goodbye

I know how difficult it is to fault yourself, trust me I've wondered why

Feel the pain, release the strain 'till there's no tears left to cry

How many times that an angel you knew could fly

Felt the pain and was moved to try to escape it through suicide?

It's true that you might always miss their identities

But their spirits and their memories thrive through you and I

When we see that our time is fleeting and our lives are depleting
