Image Building

I don't like the way my brain is resting in my skull

And my head is on my neck

And those sockets hold my arms

No, I don't like the way that my eye sockets hold my eyes

My body's resting on my legs

And image on my mind

I built my image of myself on windows I walk by

Reflecting me at angles I have never, ever liked

No, I don't like the way my body just cannot be right

It has to shift, it has to pulse

It has to change at night

No, I don't think I'm grateful

For my shitty body

In my skin, underneath it

I can't tell if gears are turning

No, I'm not very thankful for my shitty sense of humor

I say that I am fine and then I say that I'm just kidding

Give me pity laughs, I need them

I need them to live

I feed off of every response

Don't eat negatives

Give me shelter, please, I need it

From the outside world

Give me pity laughs, I need them

I need them to live
