Reason is no friend at night when I fall. It speaks, says 'you break and are broken.' No comfort in unraveling when poetry loses all meaning, when the metaphors are bullshit and every synapse is screaming. No solace in static that breaks your wrists, the insufficiency blinding. A daughter is bloated and when her ears fill she's naked. Tie her laces for her, put them back together, let the rabbit back into the hole. When she looks up the sun's cracked; when it falls, she laughs because then at least there's peace. I bleed you and yet you remain, the fool with red hands who delights in each stain. You leave windows where you touch, I leave glass and drooling shit. It's all I know, it's what I was fed. I'm so sorry, I love you
