Out here, it's like I'm walking around the streets telling everyone

That there's a giant rat devouring the sun

That will turn to us when it's done

And it's eating like a second to none

Out here, just a bunch of walking, talking business plans

That advertise to you every time that they shake your hand

Tell me once again, what was your personal brand?

How many faces do you keep in demand?

Out here, the revolution went early to sleep

The proletariat passed out drunk on the concrete

Those that are left just try to make their ends meet

Trying to find some kind of identity to keep

Out here, all the teachers only preach you what they read

As they quote you something fucking Descartes said

When will all you rational minds get it through your enlightened heads

That it's God your looking for and he's dead?

Out here, well you gaze upon a different sky

And even street signs tells ya lies

All the tombstones glow with neon lights

And the inkwells are all running dry
